WEMW boasts long term collaboration with a strong and stable network of international partners. A series of top level events directly curated and managed by industry players will take place in the framework of WEMW 2025:
EAVE Impact Think Tank
EAVE and WEMW impact innovation in film financing, production, promotion, and distribution in the film industry of today and tomorrow in the yearly EAVE Impact Think Tank, with the aim of considering the future of film financing, funding, distribution and audience building. It will bring together key professionals from across the industry value chain, such as funding representatives of regional, national, and supra-national film funds, promotion agencies, distributors, sales agents, VoD aggregators, and producers in order to come up with concrete suggestions and innovative ideas for our future.
Global Media Makers Residency for Ukrainian Filmmakers
An intensive week-long residency serving sixteen talented filmmakers, creative producers, and writer-director teams, with fiction and documentary feature film projects in early development, exploring a wide array of issues of social importance from their country.
Leading this residency are esteemed U.S. mentors, providing an overview of independent film best practices in the United States while exploring their relevance in the Ukrainian and European context and delving into development strategies for the projects participating in the program.
CIRCLE Women Doc Accelerator
An exclusive training programme for women documentary filmmakers who are developing a project of international potential. CIRCLE is designed both for talented directors and producers who are in the process of developing their first feature-length documentary, as well as the more experienced authors, who will be given the opportunity to further improve their skills and develop their projects.
First Cut Lab Trieste
A consultancy program designed for feature films in the editing phase. It offers the selected teams (director/producer/editor) a creative framework, both challenging and protective, where to open up new perspectives and to explore the whole artistic potential of their films. They screen their rough cut in a private session, and receive expert feedbacks from three international film industry advisors, as well as tailor-made advice from a consultant editor.
